Storytime 4/6: The Neverending Story, Part 7
Continuing with Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story. Atreyu has brought Bastian to the Childlike Empress. All Bastian has to do to save Fantastica is say her name. He already knows her name. But he won’t say it because of crippling self-esteem issues, basically. So in an unusual turn, the story’s protagonist shifts to being the Childlike Empress herself, as she goes in search of the Old Man of Wandering Mountain in a last-ditch effort to force Bastian into doing what he knows he has to do.
Late storytime will be more books from Squeakybunny’s treasure trove! They’re likely to be about teddy bears and bunnies, which are great.
