Storytime 3/23: The Neverending Story, Part 5
I’m continuing to read Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story. Atreyu is the last Fantastican to ask Uyulala in the Southern Oracle who can give the Childlike Empress a name and save all of Fantastica, but her answer was that only a human can do it, and humans live in the human world and not in Fantastica. How to find or contact a human was not part of her answer, however. Bastian, reading the story, thinks he could do it, but of course there’s no way for him to enter a story. Falkor the luckdragon gives Atreyu a ride, but where will they go to find a human to help them?
As usual, “late” storytime can be the same thing, or more of the book about teddy bears that I’ve been reading for a while, or something else, whatever people want.
I understand that Europe and the UK go to summer time next Sunday, not this Sunday, so we’re still on the “in between” schedule.
